Introduction	Welcome to Metal Gear Mercenaries! A brainchild that started out as a four-part one-shot, but which has spread it's tentacles and is forming into the entire Metal Gear series and will hopefully infect other game series. An idea conceived from infectious boredom, I hope it grows forever and always. The story follows a company of inane, moronic, hyperactive mercenaries stuck in an alternate timeline to the actual games, where Snake failed at Shadow Moses and thus the events that led to the unfolding of the Patriots never came to pass, as they attempt to help Snake succeed in his mission by recreating the events of the first three games in order to sway the war with Liquid Ocelot, whose major PMC's infect most of the world aside from a few hotspots in order to fuel the war economy, back into their favour. Whether they will accomplish it or die trying..is still to be seen.
