| Introduction | I was born and raised in Texas and in the second grade I remember having to draw the state of Texas for everyone and not understanding why no one else could get it right. I received my art education from the University of Texas at Dallas after finally deciding that I wasn’t going to be a doctor. When I had my son, I was suddenly reading tons of children’s books and remembered how it had always been a secret desire of mine to be a children’s book illustrator. I love to work in a multitude of different styles, but lately have been torn between painting with acrylics and graphic illustration. I currently occupy my time with custom murals and business logos, but hope to one day be a full time Children’s book Illustrator. |
