Introduction I have just recently closed my practice(psychology) but continue to work one day a week doing psychological evaluations for a health care facility. I welcome the opportunity to stay in touch with my career by providing something very different than private practice...something I did for 20 years...then came retirement and many, many changes...nearly a year later, I seem to be finding my path again and it looks very different, and very exciting...sometimes even a little frightening, but as time goes on the fear begins to subside and I am beginning to become acquainted with my new retired self...and it isn't the old self...it is a new self and a new journey and much to look forward to...and the biggest surprise, so far?...This Blog!!!
Interests I am a political junkie, I am an activist for the liberal, progressive agenda. The bush admin. almost put me in an early grave. Well, thank God and Greyhound he and his criminal cohorts are GONE! I love music, music, music, Banjo picker, guitar, mandolin, and lots and lots of rhythm instruments, MAJOR nature lover, backyard birder, Landscape and nature photography, flower gardener, tai chi
Favorite Books My favorite books are written by folks like Neal Walsch, Carolyn Myss, Marianne Williamson, Wayne Dyer, Emmett Fox, Florence Shinn, Eckhart Tolle, and Louise Hay, to name a few...writers of holistic health, particularly in the areas of spirituality and creativity. At the other end of he spectrum, I read alot of political books. My father's legacy to me was the love of politics, although I admit the last 8 years his legacy has many times felt like a curse! Thank God we have a new beginning. I also enjoy good fiction, esp. the mystery books.
