| Introduction | Since October of 1990, Mr. Gary Merenstein has lent his legal expertise to consumers in the Boulder, Colorado community and throughout the state of Colorado. Mr. Merenstein’s legal practice includes the areas of tax law, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, conservatorship, guardianship, mental health law, class action litigation, and consumer protection. Mr. Merenstein participated in the landmark Colorado Supreme Court case of Flood v. Mercantile Adjustment Bureau. During this case, which established the “least sophisticated customer” legal standard for debt collection cases throughout the State of Colorado, in addition to the legal standard of compliance that must be met by debt collectors in providing statutorily required consumer protection notices to customers. |
