Introduction	While some may see cooking as a challenge or a chore, I embrace it as an opportunity to learn and explore. It’s enjoyable (even rewarding) to try out new ingredients and unfamiliar flavor combinations, or to just rejoice in a favorite comfort food. As an amateur gourmet, I look forward to the arrival of a favorite magazine (Cooking Light, Food Network, Sunset) containing an abundance of new recipes to be tempted by, or perhaps spending a few minutes of down time with one of the many cooking shows featuring some of my favorite chefs. Food is more than a staple, it provides a culinary adventure. Come along for this San Diego based ride!
