| Introduction | Writing is a lot like painting pictures. An artist uses paint, on canvas to create the image that he or she has in their mind. A writer uses descriptive words, nouns, and verbs to paint for the reader the image that the author has in mind. Before I suffered a sudden stroke which resulted in a loss of most of my vision, I painted pictures. I would not go as far as to say that I was an artist but never the less I did dabble with paint and brushes and canvas. For a short time after the stroke, I tried to continue to paint, but I found it too frustrating to continue. So now almost eleven years after suffering from the stroke, I have learned to paint using words. |
