| Introduction | I am my mother’s caregiver, which I am very proud to say. I worked in banking, then on to retail, sales, and finally acting as publisher and managing editor of my own community magazine. I worked tirelessly at every position I held. I always accepted responsibility, even welcomed it, and it’s a darn good thing because for the past eight years, I have been doing the most challenging, stressful, physically demanding, emotionally and mentally draining job I have had: my mother’s around-the-clock caregiver/protector/mother/daughter/friend. But this job, which I do without reservation, is the most important, rewarding and fulfilling job of all. God bless each and every caregiver around the world and may He grant you the courage and strength to make it another day. |
