| Introduction | The Vermont Llama and Alpaca Association (VLAA) is a group of camelid owners and enthusiasts dedicated to promoting public awareness and the genuine fun of llama and alpaca ownership. We also encourage stewardship and high standards of care for the health and welfare of the camelid species. We gather for llama hikes, clinics, workshops, private treaty bazaars, parades, exhibitions, or to just get together, show photos of new crias and just have fun. Our network of support is available to assist new owners. A yearly calendar of events, along with informative camelid articles in VLAA's Newsletter comes with a VLAA membership. VLAA operates with assistance from the Vermont Department of Agriculture and is guided by carefully crafted bylaws and a board of directors. VLAA has a number of general membership meetings including one annually at the Barre Farm Show. |
