| Introduction | Hi, and thank you for clicking on my paintings! I was born in Ohio but have called Southern California my home most of my life. I received my BA in Art from UC Santa Barbara and also studied at Long Beach State University and UCLA. When I wasn't traveling, I worked in the commercial art world and established a Display Art Business that catered to the music industry in Hollywood. Later I moved to Palm Springs where I was the lead artist at an outdoor advertising business painting gigantic billboards. Since that time I have been primarily a commissioned artist and sell my work through various art organizations, venues and word of mouth. Many of my paintings are inspired from travel throughout Europe, Central and South America, Mexico and the Caribbean. I am particularly influenced by Gauguin's use of color and outlining. My style is mostly figurative/ representational and I occasionally add a graphic element for interest. Bright colors are characteristic in my paintings and my subject matter is often tropical but not necessarily exclusive. It can be random what gives me an idea for a painting and I go from there. |

| Favorite movies | Old black and white movies with the early movie stars. Also like the original "Metropolis" directed by Fritz Lange. Occasionally I come across an art film that I never heard of but am mesmerized |
