Interests | Lizz Murphy also has a visual arts background. In recent years she has from time to time exhibited work in group exhibitions including collaborative works and installations. In November 2011 she exhibited a series of works incorporating original poetry, found text, collected materials and artist books/art in boxes, in Skin, an exhibition by four artists at ANCA Gallery, Canberra. She continues to coordinate her public art project Poetry: The Indelible Stencil in partnership with Southern Tablelands Arts (STARTS). STARTS has facilitated funding and a region-wide implementation of the project (Southern Tablelands and Highlands in SE NSW). She hopes it will be finished soon - so does the patient team of ten published and award winning poets. She has been involved in community arts since the 1970s - AKA Community Cultural Development (CCD) - and as a product of it is a strong advocate. She loves tai chi and would like to be good at it. What's the best time you've ever had licking stamps?
Writing a poem about licking the side of the Queen's head (long before stand-up comics started using the line).
