Introduction Hello world! My name is Inga and for the past 6 months, above all else, I’ve been a mother. Before my little baby boy (Zelli) came into the picture, I was a chef - breathing, speaking and living food every minute of every day. Don't get me wrong, food still maintains a key role in my life as my passion and obsession. Recently, however, I've learned to use it as more of a vestibule for central priorities like family, health and general well-being. Truthfully, this blog is long overdue. But as many of you know, when you first enter the realm of motherhood, it inevitably consumes you. In the midst of mommy duties, it’s pretty easy to end up in a bubble that envelops you in diapers, baby food, and all that follows. Not only does this bubble blind you from any reality that doesn’t concern your child, but it prevents you from seeing all the things you’ve been dubbing secondary to being a mother. This blog is an effort to force mothers (myself included) to sustain the quality of their own lives. This will be done by infusing your daily life with choices that will make you feel better and, in effect, perform better as a mother. My choice is to eat great food.
