| Introduction | An educator for 20 years, a mom, a lover of Walt Whitman, Snoopy and mindless antics. As the world changes, so must we. It is paramount to me that as educators, we keep an open mind to change; and in fact, embrace it. My schooling does not resemble today's classrooms, and as a kid, I wasn't always in the "top" group. I have found that by feeding my passion for learning in and outside of the classroom, I am able to stay connected with today's kids. They need us. They need us to love them and push them and accept them. They deserve our best performance.In return, we can be the positive agent of change in today's classrooms. |
