| Introduction | I’m not an addict, not a single mom, not gorgeous enough to be a model, not skinny enough to be a stripper but not ugly enough to get a sympathy job. Not sick enough for SSI, not young enough to be a trophy girlfriend, not old enough for ‘older worker ‘ programs and not open minded enough to be a hooker. Not being any of these things disqualifies me for 90% of the transitional housing programs. I want to stay anonymous. It’s hard enough applying to jobs without a cell phone, car or having any idea where you might be next month. I'm not adding to the difficulty by publishing a name. |
