| Introduction | Mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, survivor, advocate, etc... I have fought incredibly hard over the past 6 years to keep my life going and to improve the quality of the lives of each member of my little family. Dave, Truman and I have had major struggles but it looks like we are heading into a chapter of great blessing. This October I will reach 5 years of remission from a Stage 4 Liposarcoma that had every intention and likelihood of ending my life...HA HA HA! Take THAT canSer! God has healed me numerous times and in more ways than I can count. My immediate goals are to: 1-Create a peaceful, creative, loving, fun, and happy home for my family. 2-Ensure Truman's educational programs at home and school are the absolute best I can provide. 3-Draw nearer to the Lord in my daily walk and continue to grow up in my faith. 4-Foster a vocation for myself, hopefully in the field of Special Education or Health Advocacy. 5-Manage my chronic lymphoedema effectively so that I can train to run a half-marathon. 6-Improve our financial status enough to purchase a home in the next 2-4 years. 7-Plan and save for a big family educational trip-we are SO TOTALLY NOT doing middle school! |
