| Introduction | I'm an Australian born American with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Tasmania with majors in Entrepreneurship and Marketing. I moved to the US for a job in 2005, and one husband and three kids later, I'm (most likely) here for life ;-). Before kids, my interests were travel (I've been to 25 US states and 14 countries), singing (I'm a classically trained contralto), photography, and all forms of DIY. Since kids, I still love to do all of those things, but it is all so much harder! Sewing is my one hobby that I have really focused on though. My grandmother taught me to hand sew when I was a kid, and I learned to machine sew when I was 12. My sewing skills didn't really see much improvement until I discovered Oliver+S patterns shortly after having kids. The amazing resources on the internet (hello Craftsy.com and Facebook sewing groups!) have been incredible at helping me to hone my skills. |
