Introduction	My mom is a big reason for why I have this blog. My mom is a great cook and I love her food. I prefer to eat her food over a restaurant any day! How did I get started in this baking/cooking gig? I made my first batch of cookies when I was nine years old. My mom let me choose any cookie I wanted to make out of her cookie cookbook. I opted for black and white cookies because of its visual appeal. To make a long story short, the cookies ended up being a complete and utter disaster! I stayed away from baking until I was 12 when I was at the grocery store with my mom and I asked if I could buy some packaged cookies and she told me that I should make my own cookies because it will be less processed and taste better. That's the day I developed a love for baking and haven't turned back since. I am a big proponent for homemade goods and I believe baking/cooking your own food is so much more satisfying for the taste buds...and the soul!
