| Introduction | I am a retired research microbiologist living in the San Diego area of California. I have several passions that keep me very busy. Being a biologist, I am fascinated with all things in the natural world. My history is rich and varied. The first eighteen years of my adult life were lived as a back-to-the-land existence. The hand crafts I work with and the frugal lifestyle I now practice come from that experience and from my grandmother's influence. I often feel like an anachronism in Southern California. The next nineteen years were spent learning and working in microbiology biotech. I loved my little bugs! I quit that life ten years ago. I miss the science, but not the fast paced work scene. |
