| Introduction | To begin, let me give you a little information on my background so that you may be assured that you are getting information from an experienced teacher. I am originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico. I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of New Mexico. I then continued my studies at UNLV and earned a Masters degree with an emphasis in Reading and Language Arts. Over the past two years, I completed an additional 32 credits through Touro University in Differientiated Instruction and Teacher Leadership. This will my 17th year in CCSD. I’ve taught kindergarten for 9 years, which is by far my favorite! My husband, Sean Mahoney, a talented graphic designer, owns and operates Mahoney Advertising. We are also the proud parents of our eleven year-old daughter Alexa, who will start 6th grade this year, and our fourteen year-old son, Ian, who is a big 9th grader at in High School. Teaching is not just a job to me, it truly is my passion. |
