| Introduction | Hi I am a 70 year old housewife married with 3 adult children (2 sons and a daughter) My daughter lives with her 11yr old and she is a single parent. My eldest son lives with his partner (the DIL) and they have 2 teenage children a boy and a girl. My younger son lives alone in a seaside flat. We lived on the outskirts of a large city in the South West of England, but have retired to Devon. I have started this blog to give me an interest as I have a sleep problem - I can't get to sleep until the early hours 1.30am onwards. We have 2 dogs both spaniels One is 8 years old and her daughter is 6. My husband is on a different timescale and goes to bed earlier than me and gets up earlier too.I retired at 59 from child minding and have previously worked with teenagers as a social worker, as a PA to people with disabilities, and as a home carer. My motto in life is 'When one door closes another always opens' - yep I'm an optimist!Hope you enjoy the blog. All the best x |
| Interests | My interests are bargain hunting in charity shops and car boots. I also enjoy researching different things on the internet, psychology, medical news childcare etc. and follow current affairs. I also use eBay quite a lot to buy and sell - mainly to try and declutter the house lolAlso sell a lot of clothes and toys that my 3 grandchildren no longer want. |
