| Introduction | Capitol Places was formed in 1998 for the purpose of developing, renting and managing apartments in downtown Columbia, South Carolina. At that time, analysis showed that Columbia's 72,000 person downtown work-force, and particularly the portion of those that lived in greater Columbia's 28,000 apartments, had limited choices for downtown living. Capitol Places' original investors were past associates; more recently, local Columbia and other South Carolina investors who share the same vision, have been added. Capitol Places provides unique urban apartment and condominium residences with character and style. All are a short walk or trolley ride to downtown business, health-care and educational facilities, places of worship, libraries, museums, historic and cultural points of interest, parks and recreation, shopping, fine dining, and nightlife. |
