| Introduction | Jodie was born in Canada and now lives in Brisbane, Australia. Jodie started Iceberg Events in 1996. She was 24 years old. After completing two degrees (B.A. from the University of Queensland, and a B.Bus - HRM from QUT), she began her career at the Australian Quality Council (AQC). Her position at the AQC evolved into Events Coordinator - doing the administration for the many breakfasts, gala dinners and short courses that the AQC ran. Jodie enjoyed the organisational side of her job, and decided to go it on her own. 11 years later, Iceberg Events has moved to larger office premises and employs several staff. Jodie was recently awarded the Centenary Medal for her services to the community, and is an Accredited Summit (Event Management Software) user. Jodie is also now managing Networx Marketers Meetings in Brisbane, founded by Kimberly Palmer in Melbourne. Jodie is a Professional Conference Organiser. Jodie especially loves (in no particular order) her business, cycling to and from work, her son, Max, and Max's dad, Ben. Jodie’s passion is planning fun, professional and stress-free events, taking clients around Brisbane, Australia and internationally. |
