| Introduction | Hi, and thank you for your interest in my patterns! A little about my projects and myself: My name is Catalina (Cata for short). I am a linguist and a teacher by trade but retired from both professions to live in Valparaiso, Chile, where my husband and I have a guesthouse (if interested, check out @casacaliforniavalpo on Instagram). I taught myself how to knit, crochet and sew a long time ago (do you ever stop learning though?) and recently have begun to publish my patterns and pattern reviews on this blog. I write patterns that are simple but have techniques, stitches, or construction details that I hope are helpful for beginner and intermediate knitters to move forward in their creative journeys. The patterns are in English and Spanish, translated by me. They are free for use and distribution. All I ask is that you give me credit and link to this blog, my Ravelry profile (you'll find these links in each pattern post), or my Instagram @knitplantlove. Apart from working with fibers, I am an amateur botanist (I'm working on my first plant book), singer, weaver, and hooper. I love making things in general and wished the days had 48 hours and years had 730 days. |
