Introduction	‘Let there be a place somewhere in which you can breathe naturally, quietly, and not have to take your breath in continuous short gasps. A place where your mind can be idle, forget its concerns, descend into silence and worship in secret.’ (Thomas Merton) Wild Fortune is our family home and a woodland edge place of stillness, prayer and contemplation in the way of Christ. We are affiliated to the Quiet Garden Movement and delight in sharing this space with fellow pilgrims on Quiet Garden mornings. This isn't a perfect place, garden or home! We are people drawn to the edge, living and working at the boundaries of faith, trying to model a rhythm of life of contemplative, creative and compassionate practice. It is a place where we seek to be open to the transfiguring energy of love, in our relationships with one another, with the earth and with God, source of all life.
