| Introduction | I am a surface designer and I have recently graduated with an MA in Textiles and Fashion Design. The MA was a self-directed course of which I used to progress my design development skills and understanding of Photoshop. All of my designs are created through hand rendered illustrations combining mixed media and visual ideas. My main theme and source of inspiration stems from nature/flora and fauna. I love the endless vibrant colours and beauty in natural forms. I am passionate about expressing the colours I see within nature in my illustrations and prints. I develop my drawings into design ideas culminating in placement prints and repeated patterns within Photoshop. I love illustration and pattern and combining these elements to create prints that are exciting and innovative. My favourite fashion designers are Preen and Christopher Kane and I always look to their collections for visual inspiration. My aim is to use the skills and experiences I have gained to work within a print design studio for fashion. |
| Interests | I love embroidery and creating new designs for my freelance work. I like to draw it's my greatest asset as a designer and it gives me the greatest pleasure. I like to look at what other designers/illustrators/graphic designers are doing via the internet, journals and visiting galleries. I also love to read and go the cinemas when I have the chance. |
