| Introduction | I suppose many would see me as your average Christian teenage girl, trying to work past all the bumps on the road of adolescence -- but I feel I'm so much more than that, because people are never really what the world sees. I'm an idealist with visions to change the world, and I have the ambition and courage to put them into action; I'm an unsure little girl, afraid to let go of my father's hand and face the world alone; I'm a Christian struggling with the influences of our culture; I'm hurt, pushed far beyond my years because of situations out of my control; I'm determined, not about to give in to the traps this society lays down for us; I'm trustworthy -- if you lean on me, I won't let you fall; I'm caring, because "a person's a person, no matter how small"; I'm intelligent, funny, empathetic, helpful, and hey, I'm a Virgo! . . . but these aren't the things that matter. These aren't what define me. Who am I? I'm a child of God, daughter of the King of Kings. |
