Introduction	As the title of my blog suggests, I am a vet, a veteran of the war in Vietnam. I have, for a number of year since my wartime experience, wondered, at time very intensely and in the midst of pain, about that experience. Some of what I post will have to do with war and its psychological, emotional, and spiritual effects. My somewhat recent graduate school thesis,"God where were you in Vietnam and Where Are You Now," deals with ministry to combat veterans. Although, I am a veteran, I will not get stuck in my experience of war. I am more than a veteran. I write poetry and stories, war and non-war related, I enjoy reading and physical conditioning and art. I search for peace and meaning through my religion and spiritual endeavors and through medition. My avocation is coaching. I am a boxing coach working with amateurs and professionals. I enjoy working with young people. And I am an avid backpacker. I am a father who loves his son.
