| Introduction | I am a professor of economics at Montgomery College at Germantown Maryland, where I have been teaching for about 4 years now. From 1979-2009 I was an economist at the Congressional Research Service (CRS) of the Library of Congress where I wrote hundreds of reports, thousands of memoranda, gave hundreds of briefings, and testified before Congress on a wider variety of economic subjects. My specialty was public economics, particularly energy, environmental, and natural resource taxation, but I also wrote on a wide variety of complex economics subjects of policy importance to the Congress. I emigrated from Sicily in 1959 and graduated from Wayne State University (WSU), in Detroit Michigan with a B.A and M.A. in economics. At WSU I also went through the Ph.D. program, completing all requirements except for the dissertation. While I was a Ph.D. candidate at WSU I also worked a corporate economist of a major corporation in Michigan. |
