| Introduction | I have always had a love affair with the nation of Japan. I was born in Yokohama and raised in sunny Hawaii. My life as a child revolved around Japanese cooking, Samurai movies, trips to Japan, martial arts, and studying Japanese History. I also did my fair share of body surfing and basking on the beaches of Hawaii, but my heart has always been in Japan. I now work as a teacher, counselor, and writer. One of my academic passions is all things Japanese.I am continually fascinated. In this blog, I will mix narrative with some historical, cultural, art, food, religion and political articles about Japan. I hope you enjoy my offerings as much as I enjoy writing about them.
