Introduction	Since the last one year, I've developed an interest in stamps of the Indian Princely States, and to my utter suprise, I realized that unlike other areas of stamp collecting, studying and understanding Indian States' stamps is a humongous task demanding sincere focus, energy and many hours of learning, day after day! After having ventured into collecting this area, within no time, I felt lost and discouraged. "Collecting Indian States is akin to stepping inside a quagmire" as one collector described it! However, the encouragement and inspiration I get from a select few Philatelists of this area who so patiently have been guiding me in this context whenever I reach out to seek their help, has made this area of collecting more challenging and enticing for me, nevertheless! I'm hooked, and I'm here to stay, and Learn! I felt an urgency to gather what I learn in my pursuit of collecting stamps of the Princely States at one place, but did not know how to go about it? And then a few Philatelic blogs of my collector-friends inspired me to do the same. Thus this blog "Stamps of the Princely States of India" was born!
