I used to think that I wanted the life of an English teacher but soon discovered that my real passion was writing. Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?

I definitely think flexibility is important because it means that you are willing to compromise. I think if you can expand then there is a possibility that you expand in a bad sense.
