| Introduction | We are a group of 12 Montclair State University students on a learning delegation led by Professor Jhon Velasco to Nicaragua from January 4th to 13th, 2012. One of the many learning objectives of our delegation is to gain a better perspective of the various systems that keep developing countries (like Nicaragua) from achieving economic and social stability. This annual service learning project is the result of a partnership with Witness for Peace -- a politically independent, nationwide grassroots organization based in Washington D.C. committed to non-violence and social justice. Upon returning, we are committed to educate and create change within our communities. |
