| Introduction | I am a ‘mostly’ retired technical business consultant…’mostly’ because I still have one client I support on occasion, but otherwise am devoted to writing these days. My professional credentials are accessible on Lindedin, but the short form is I started my career as a management and systems analyst at the effective dawn of the digital computer age.
In 1964, as the engineering change control officer for Ford carburetor production, I served as the developmental ‘guinea pig’ for Ford’s first computer production application running on an IBM 1401 machine and have been professionally associated with advanced technology since. For most of my life I have been a writer, starting in 1959 as Teen Editor of the Wayne (Michigan) Eagle. I have published poetry (in the ‘60s), Feature articles for the Detroit News and Free Press, and in 1993 Washington Technology News published an article I wrote on Federal business development proposals. Today, I am working on several novel projects, our waterside home, and enjoying being out of the industrial rat-race. |
