| Introduction | The poet and writer Ralph Waldo Emerson said, "The world is not painted, or adorned, but is from the beginning beautiful...." I, too, see intrinsic beauty in everything that surrounds us. The inspiration for my design comes from the natural world. When a bird builds a nest, the last leaf falls from a tree, or weeds flourish through a crack in the sidewalk, we see a glimpse of the wondrous, yet simple, splendor of nature. I wish to create work that evokes the artless beauty of nature and challenges us to look at the details of our natural environment and see the loveliness in all things. |
