Introduction	Having recently been overwhelmed by tragic news on television and even among friends, I decided I'd like to be more mindful of the moments of grace, or kinship, I experience in my life daily. These are things I need to appreciate more, and that I think may bring about more joy if I am more reflective about them. And this blog is named after a tradition of my grandfather's, which I think is consistent with its concept. He is known for always having a "happy word of the day," which is often a phrase about something simple for which he is thankful. So when we are visiting him, the happy word might be "my grandchildren are here!" Grandpa Jack's thoughtfulness has inspired me, so I dedicate this to him. So, here we go... I invite you to join me!
