| Introduction | Chalice is a Canadian, Catholic charity that primarily supports community initiatives in developing countries through the sponsorship of children and elders in need. A Chalice mission trip will provide you with a unique immersion into the works of compassion at Chalice Sponsor Sites around the world. You will meet and work alongside our partners, sharing and celebrating God's love with the children and families we serve. |
| Interests | What we want to do on Mission: Our Canadian and international volunteers, staff and families will: • share stories and dialogue to learn from one another, and • collaborate in service projects. Our Canadian team will invite others to support our mission by sponsoring a child from the region we visit, and we will collectively raise funds to support the communities served. The changes we want to see from our Mission: • Through meaningful dialogue, interaction, prayer and service, we will be invited to see and care for one another as brothers and sisters. • We will have a greater understanding of both the challenges we face, as well as our capacity (with God’s grace!) to respond with love and support. • We will gain insight into Chalice’s mission and will be empowered to collaborate in this mission, “bringing Christ to the poor and the poor to Christ.” |
