| Interests | I have an analytical mind and I do enjoy writing. As a toddler whenever my parents bought me a new toy my mother says I would play with it relentlessly then take it apart the next day. When she'd ask me in despair why I had broken the brand new toy, she says my response would be, "I wanted to see inside what was making it go." That just about sums me up. I like to know what makes things I find interesting go. Nearly all the inferences I make are backed by research. I enjoy movies and television and how they are made. Though you can see. I'm passionate about science, engineering, theoretical physics and space (and have a strong opinion about them) my background, training and expertise is in economics, business and finance. I've taught economics and business, worked as a researcher, analyst, as a financial adviser. I have a degree that covers history and economics, a post grad diploma in management and an mba so I may tend to get technical sometimes but I will do my best to make sure what I explain is open, candid and clear so I hope you enjoy my new blog. |
