Introduction Vanessa is a full time mother and writer who lives with her busy family in a village in Berkshire. She has a husband who is always absent, two hungry and sports mad teenage sons, a tidy and sweet daughter, and a dog that never leaves her side. Vanessa writes about her family in a regular column for the Maidenhead Advertiser. She also contributes features for various local magazine publications. Vanessa originally hailed from Australia where she obtained her BA in Literature. Her greatest inspiration in writing is from the likes of Emily and Charlotte Bronte, Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, F Scott Fitzgerald; John Steinbeck and any novel by Anne Tyler. Vanessa has just finished her first full length novel "A Stranger Within" and is currently doing a second edit after a very promising manuscript review. Once that is completed, she will be rewriting "Changing Altitude" her novel set in Tanzania and preparing it for the big wide world of literay agents. She has also written several short stories, including a recent anthology of stories about Loss and Missing People. She also loves writing poems some of which are featured on this blog.
