Introduction My name is Rachael, I run Cherryade Records: www.cherryademusic.co.uk described by Radio 1's Huw Stephens in the Independent as 'the most indie label in Europe. I'm doing a PHD in DIY music in the UK and USA since 1995 at Manchester University. I love going to gigs, listening to amazing music, watching tv, making Christmas last all year round, all things pink, plastic and kitsch, feminist and queer activism and talking, oh, and loads of other stuff too! I live with my partner in the most beautiful flat in Manchester, Cherryade Towers. I host a regular show on the wonderful Peel-inspired online station Dandelion Radio: www.dandelionradio.com I'm also currently on the Manchester University University Challenge team taking part in the 2009-2010 TV series, our next match will be shown on Monday 21st December. I'm on Facebook and you can find out more about Cherryade and Dandelion from the links above.
