About me

Introduction I have ten years of work experience in various health sectors, as well as a Masters of Public Health from UC Berkeley and a bachelors in mathematics from Duke University. My career has been a winding path to connect my love of numbers with my passions for health equity and public service. My experiences range from working as a medical economics consultant for an insurance company, to serving as a resource specialist for immigrants at a safety net clinic. I have done consulting projects in health program planning, evaluation, and research for nonprofits. And most recently, I have been working overseas as a health program specialist at an NGO focused on the advancement of local indigenous communities through health, education, agriculture, and development. These myriad experiences have made me passionate about social determinants of health, mental health, global health, immigrant health, and health policy. My goal for this blog is to inspire greater love of one another through the lens of health. (NOTES: I am not a doctor, and this blog is not intended to provide medical advice. Also, the opinions on this blog are my own and do not represent the opinions of my employer.)
