About me

Introduction	I have suffered from wanderlust since as far back as I can remember. My love of travel, culture and languages has led me to places as diverse as the Great Wall of China, the summit of Macchu Picchu in Peru and Great Pyramids of Giza. In 2006 Rotary International nominated me as an Ambassadorial scholar to study intensive Arabic in Cairo. That opportunity opened the door to my wandering years as an expatriate on an odyssey through the deserts of Arabia, countries at war and onwards to the far east. My writing is an attempt to convey a snapshot of what I have encountered and that it is the journey more so than the destination that is the reward.
