IntroductionLarry is the Director of Recreation Services for the Southern Region of the Jewish Community Centers of Chicago at the Anita M. Stone JCC and one of the cofounders of the South Suburban Basketball Academy. Before taking on his position at the J, he owned several businesses; Health Performance Centers, Inc, which was a personal fitness and group training company that specialized in designing exercise programs for special needs populations. He also co-owned Performance Enhancement Products. Inc. Where they specialized in making functional athletic equipment for sports specific and special needs training. He also served as the Director of Education for the National Academy of Sports Medicine and was on their executive board. He currently lectures on exercise programming for special needs populations and is Adjunct faculty at Prairie State College. He holds a Masters degree in Exercise Science and Health Promotion. He has been involved in conditioning athletes and special needs populations for the past 25 years. The views written on this blog are my own.
