| Introduction | I love running, hiking, camping and anything to do with the out-of-doors. I love to read especially good quality children's literature. I love kids! I am the mother of five, ages 12 to 34. My husband John and I have been married for 36 years. |
| Interests | I continue to serve as an ambassador for Room to Read. Why? Room to Read is an amazing organization! It has impacted the lives of over 3.1 million children in some of the poorest regions of Asia and Africa by: building over 850 schools, establishing over 7,500 libraries, publishing over 340 local language children's books, distributing over 6 million books and providing scholarships for over 8,800 girls. I continue to donate a portion of all speaking fees to Room to Read, with the goal of funding a second school in Vietnam soon. Will you help me? |
| Favorite movies | I like classic adventures like The Great Gatsby or the Sting, as well as inspiring movies like Gandhi. |
| Favorite music | I was raised with "Big Band" music blaring, so Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole are my childhood favorites. Being raised in the 60's made the Beatles, James Taylor and Simon & Garfunkel high on my list as well. |
| Favorite books | As I said, I love children's literature. My favorites include Charlotte's Web Because of Winne Dixie and The Tales of Winnie the Pooh. |
