| Introduction | I am an educator in a small town school in Sandakan, Sabah, and blogging for the first time. I'd like to share ideas I have collected over many years in trying to make my lessons more engaging and exciting. This blog’s main purpose is to stimulate my students to write in a more interesting and creative way, so I intend to put in some of the students' work as a reward for their efforts. This blog will hopefully become a reference point for this year and future generations of students. It must be pointed out English is our second language and mistakes will be made, but I firmly believe in the principle of practice makes, if not perfect, more competent. As for my teacher friends, I hope this will inspire you to a greater level of constructive commitment, therefore making learning fun and effective for your students. That sounded way too serious, but it’s not meant to be. Write and read for fun and learn along the journey we are all taking. |
