| Introduction | Hello everyone, my name Is TBS and I am currently a senior attending the University of Hartford. My area of study exists in a realm that many lack an understanding of, that being interpersonal communication. It is essentially my job to break down almost every conceivable aspect of human dialogue within any given conversation and interpret the underlying meanings relating to what is being projected. I find this major to be exciting, due to my unquenchable desire to understand those around me. The road to understanding others is far from easy, and the journey which we all embark upon in order to further that goal is ever arduous. It has been said that “words are our slaves, not our masters” and yet it is unfortunately inherent within our essence to succumb at times to those possessors. This seminar on pain for me is yet another gateway of understanding of another grey area of communication. It is my hope that through this fellowship my understanding of one of the most difficulty communicated feelings will become that much more lucid in its ubiquitous level of opaqueness. |
