Introduction | After graduating, with honors, from Ringling College of Art & Design in 1983, I went to California to train for the 1984 Olympics in cycling. I worked for an ad agency and trained for the Olympic trials. A crash two weeks before the trials prevented me from racing, so in 1985, I moved back to Ocala and I started an advertising company, Verrandeaux Visual Communications, Inc. With the help of my husband, Bob, we built the company up to 13 employees and international clients. By 2000, my true passion of drawing and painting was calling. I sold my business in 2006 and began my trek as a fine artist. As an illustrator, I could paint photo-realistic or develop animated characters. I constantly have more ideas than time but love doing portraits and landscapes. On top of painting, I am a health nut, love to exercise and am dedicated to my two wonderful boys, Ian 21, who is an incredible photographer and busy in college, and Kayleb, 17, a gifted artist himself as well as a mountain-biker and talented soccer player. Max our dog, and my husband, Bob of 23 years who is my greatest strength and has always been there for me through thick or thin. |
