| Introduction | Hi there, I'm Alexandra (or Allie) and I have a sweet tooth for life and for God. I was born in the Caribbean and grew up in the south where I became a nurse and married my high school sweetheart. We've lived in southern California, traveled the world, and now relocated back to the South with our beautiful kiddos and Shih-Tzu. Finding sweetness and joy can be challenging, especially during these hard times - but not impossible. As a person who struggles with mental health, I believe you can find sweetness and joy in every day things and situations, if you look hard enough. Azucar is about doing just that, be it through inspirational scripture, a fun find, a crazy parenting story (or win), a delicious recipe, the generosity of friends/strangers, or even a cute outfit find ...
