| Introduction | MS has been in my family for the past 14 years, though we’re pretty sure that my sister, Pauline, had her MS symptoms years before. Pauline died on June 14 this year from breast cancer, lung cancer and brain cancer. It’s sad for the family to have lost such a vibrant spirit from our circle, but we’re confident she’s in a better place, free of pain and has traded her wheelchair for wings… In her memory, I am fundraising for MS and will ride my region’s premier fundraising event: Bike MS: Valero Bike to the Beach. However, until a week ago I didn’t own a bike, and I hadn’t been on a bicycle since 1968.
