| Introduction | I am a Southern Belle who's now ringing in the West! I grew up in North Carolina and moved westward in my mid-twenties. There I met a blue-eyed charmer who became the love of my life. We have been married since 1971. We adopted five children from Korea who have now flown the coop and left Mom and Dad to fend for themselves. For a few years we lived in a motorhome and traveled around the country enjoying the beauties of God's creation and meeting new friends. We participate in a group called Laborers for Christ through which we've helped to build church buildings in several places.(http://www.lcef.org/services/laborers_for_christ) For many years I taught elementary school. I have taught workshops and presented programs on leadership, written a newspaper column, and helped to manage retirement homes. My views are from a Christian perspective. I am a born-again Christian who rejoices in God's love and mercy in sending Jesus to redeem me from my sins. |
