Introduction	I live in the desert on the edge of forever where the quiet is immense and the solitude dense, at least until my boy came along. Now I am always in company with the finest spirit I have ever known. I and Husband are old (I am 42, he is 59) and Boy is brand new (16 months and counting), which leaves us grownups often running along behind, disheveled, out of breath, but grateful for every moment that pushes us outside the bounds of our old selves and into a new place of love and struggle, laughter and learning.
