Introduction I am a sagebrush living among cypresses and a walking contradiction. I'm from the Rockies originally. I moved to the South for college, where I study medieval literature. I am an evangelical Christian, an LGBT ally, an English grad student who loves kid's books and fiction, a social justice freak, a blue collar westerner, and yet also a member of the rarified "academy" who'd rather go catch frogs at the fish pond than attend a plenary address. Nowadays, I spend most of my time among suburbanite intellectuals who look at me funny because I come from a gun-toting outdoor family. Then I go home for Christmas, where my family thinks I'm insane because I'm still in school and read dead languages. Since Wyoming is really just one large town, I do have one request: my family would hardly approve of such a thing as this. If you read these lines and figure out who I am, please let the Jackrabbit run free-- and don't "out" me to my family or colleagues.
Interests medieval literature, graphic novels, juvenile fiction, theater, movies, curling, hockey, snow, hiking, bugs, social justice, faith, public discourse

If you could peer far enough into the night sky, you'd see a star in any direction you looked. When would you sleep?

From the Medicine Bow mountain range, you CAN see a star in any direction you look. So I never got much sleep.
